Military Funeral

Yesterday I went to a funeral for uncle Bob. He was one of Lily's uncles on her dad's side of the family. His name was Amado Babasa. I met him a few times at family events and also had some chats with him.

This was the first time that I can remember going to a military cemetery for a funeral. Since he was a veteran, he was allowed to be buried there at no cost to his family. I was very impressed with services which were held there. When we got to the location for the ceremony there were men standing on either side of the walkway, each holding an America flag. We learned after the event that they are apart of a nation volunteer group called the Patriot Guard Riders. This made the service more special.

Uncle Bob was a nice person to know. He will be missed.
